Dhanush lied saying I didn't have to speak Tamil dialogues in VIP 2: Kajol
The actress jokingly spoke of her experience working in a language she isn't too familiar with.
Mumbai: Kajol, who was skeptical about playing roles down South, has finally chosen to make a comeback with Dhanush’s highly anticipated ‘Velaiyilla Pattadhaari 2’.
During one of our interviews from the recent past, however, she had admitted that until she knew the language very well, it would be difficult to perform any role in that it. I need to be comfortable in front of the cameras and for that I have to know the language. So I do not think I can do any film down South.”
Kajol will be seen playing a powerful character in the film, donning the hat of the arch-nemesis of Dhanush. This we could gather from the release of the trailer. Kajol was her chirpy self, explaining the questions thrown at Dhanush in English. Laughingly, Kajol told Dhanush, “I have become your interpreter, translating the Hindi questions thrown at you by the media.”
Kajol also told the media how Dhanush and others lied to her.
“Actually, I have turned to South films only because Dhanush convinced me saying, ‘We are not going to ask you to talk in Tamil at all. So you will not face any language problem.’ But when I reached the shoot they handed over almost two/three long pages in my hand,” Kajol jokingly said.
Dhanush being his humble self, praised Kajol, saying, “However, I must appreciate Kajol, for she meticulously and convincingly performed each and every scene. Also we never lied to her,” he revealed with his trademark smile.
Our sources confirmed that Kajol has dubbed for herself in the film’s Hindi version, ‘VIP2 Lalkar,’ while someone else took over in the Tamil and Telugu versions.
