Delayed for 3 years, Vikramadtiya begins Bhavesh Joshi wearing this quirky t-shirt
With Harshvardhan's involvement, the project is finally back on track.
Mumbai: Filmmaker Vikramaditya Motwane, who directed Udaan and Lootera has been in the news for his next film ‘Bhavesh Joshi’ for quite some time now. The film, which was announced in 2014, had been put on the backburner until now, but the film finally went on floors today (July 28).
After a lot of delay, Motwane roped in Anil Kapoor’s son Harshvardhan Kapoor to play the lead in ‘Bhavesh Joshi’.The project was initially supposed to star Imran Khan in the lead but Imran had to opt out of the project owing to certain issues and the project went into a limbo for the lack of a lead.
While strong rumours suggested that actor Ranveer Singh was being considered for the role, it was actor Sidharth Malhotra who was later roped in to replace Imran. But even with the lead finalised, Motwane had initially planned to shelve the film as he felt that the subject was not relevant to current times anymore.
Later the filmmaker said that the project holds special importance for him and so he will make it some day. With Harshvardhan’s involvement, the project is finally back on track.
