Chris Gayle's gift to Big B

It looks like there is no part of the world where Big B’s fans don’t exist.

Amitabh Bachchan got the best surprise when the Jamaican star-cricketer Chris Gayle sent him an autographed golden cricket bat. The limited-edition golden bat is signed, “To the greatest Legend”.

Sharing the photo, Chris tweeted, “Proud to gift my Spartan bat to a legend @srbachchan, love his movies & his style, legend.”

To which Amitabh Bachchan, who seemed surprised to find out that Chris Gayle is one of his fans, replied “Mr Chris Gayle, what an honour... I never knew you would know me. So humbled... we are all great fans of yours! Chris Gayle!! I mean CHRIS GAYLE a fan of Hindi movies and presents me a golden bat autographed! I mean this is revelation.”

Chris later tweeted back: “See you soon in India”.

Delighted and surprised, Big B reciprocated by sending two books on his life to Gayle.

Says a source, “Chris Gayle is a huge fan of Amitji. He has seen a number of his films. When Kunal Sharma of Spartan Sports met Chris, the latter suggested that a golden bat signed by him be gifted to the living legend.”

Incidentally, Bachchans are sports enthusiasts. Abhishek plays football and owns a kabaddi team, while Big B is an avid tennis fan.
