Amy Jackson bags an international project
The British bombshell will now be part of U.S television series Supergirl.
After Bollywood divas Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra, it is the turn of British model-turned-actress Amy Jackson who was introduced in Tamil with Madarasapattinam to be featured in an international project.
The glam Liverpudlian who has been in the news for being part of 2018’s big budget 2.O playing Superstar Rajinikanth’s love interest, has been roped in to essay the character of ‘Saturn Girl’ in superhero television series Supergirl.
Amy took to her social media handle to confirm the news. She has posted, “FINALLY! So now you know what I’ve been getting up to in Canada over the past couple of weeks #SuperGirl new recruit # SaturnGirl.” The new season returns on October 9 on The CW.
Reportedly, Saturn Girl, aka Imra Ardeen, is a smart and strong-willed hero who uses her telekinetic ability to help those in need. She was born on Titan, one of Saturn’s moons, and comes to Earth to help Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) battle one of her biggest threats.
In the comics, Saturn Girl is a member of the Legion of Superheroes, a 31st-century superhero team tied to Superboy. Back home, Amy is also acting in Queen’s south Indian remakes.
