Newlyweds Virat Kohli, Anushka Sharma take off to South Africa
The couple will celebrate New Year's at the destination.
Newly-weds Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma left to South Africa after hosting two grand receptions in Delhi and Mumbai for their family, friends and colleagues. While the Indian cricket team’s skipper will be busy prepping up for his upcoming tournament in South Africa, where the team has to battle it out in three Test matches, six ODIs and the T20Is, Anushka plans to celebrate New Year's in the scenic destination.
Meanwhile, a photo of the couple from their honeymoon in Finland surfaced on the internet, and is going viral.
Shared by Janne Honkanen, the founder of Luxury Action that organised the celebrity couple’s trip to the European destination, the picture is captioned: “It was so great meeting with you @virat.kohli and @anushkasharma You are amazing and lovely couple I look forward to see you soon again #luxuryaction #viratkohli #anushkasharma #lapland #visitfinland #wilderness. Anushka’s recognition!
Everything seems to be going hunky-dory for the couple. Anushka has been named PETA's Person of the Year. “Anushka Sharma is a proud animal rights proponent whose kindness and initiative knows no bounds,” said Sachin Bangera, Associate Director, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), in a statement. Recently, the actress also took to Twitter to demand a ban on cruel carriage rides in Mumbai — where lame horses are often forced to haul passengers in extreme weather conditions without adequate rest or food and water.
