Rakesh Roshan is currently flying high, enjoying the success of his movie, Kaabil. However, the filmmaker is already working on future plans, one of which includes launching brother Rajesh Roshan’s daughter, Pashmina.

On being quizzed, Rakesh confirmed the plan, but made it amply clear that he would launch the newcomer only if she’s a deserving candidate. “She’s still studying acting, and has not finished her course yet. Once it gets over, I will search for a subject. And once I’m convinced, I will go ahead with it. I’m in no hurry,” he said.

The producer-director had also launched actress Amisha Patel opposite son Hrithik Roshan in Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai 14 years ago, and now seems ready for yet another fresh face. “She has to learn everything and then I will decide,” he said. “Let her train herself, because I’ve made it very clear — and have told Hrithik too — that I will launch someone only if they deserve it. When you’re making a movie, everybody’s name is at stake. One should be able to justify it.”

Meanwhile, Rakesh is also happy with Kaabil’s collections, and says that the movie has done well, in spite of all the chatter around it. “I’m extremely happy with the collection, and despite all the negativity, the film is going strong. We’ve got only 40 per cents of theatre share, and still done so much business. Imagine if I had more screens; the film would’ve done wonders,” he trails off.
