Mumbai: When films with the biggest stars of the country are facing trouble with the Pahlaj Nihalani-led Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), we can guess how much trouble the smaller films will have to face from the board.

The latest film to become a victim to the scissors of the censor board is ‘G Kutta Se’, a film based on the theme of honour killing.

The board has asked for several cuts from the film which have baffled the director of the film, Rahul Dahiya.

Rahul says, “At first they were reluctant to take up a film about honour killing and then when they have finally come around, they have asked for such bizarre cuts that I am perplexed what exactly offended them about those scenes. Someday, I would like to know the reason.”

The film is slated to release on June 9 and the makers might be forced to delay the release if they don’t get the required certification.

‘G Kutta Se’ stars Rajveer Singh, Neha Chauhan, Nitin Pandit, Rashmi Singh Somvanshi, Sandeep Goyat, Vibha Dikshit, Parth Sharma, among others and has been showcased at Chicago Southasian film festival, New York Indian film festival and the MAMI film festival.
