It takes guts to write an autobiography': Hema Malini
Women should secure themselves and not be dependent on anyone, says Hema Malini.
Veteran actor-filmmaker Sanjay Khan, who’s best known for his films Dus Lakh, Ek Phool Do Mali, Intaqam and Mela, unveiled his autobiography The Best Mistakes of My Life this Sunday. And close friend Hema Malini was all praise for him at the book-launch event. “Sanjay has come up with an interesting title for his book. It takes a lot of guts to write an autobiography because you need to be truthful about your life. Even your mistakes are learning opportunities and achievements,” the actress said, adding, “Sanjay is a dynamic personality; he is a great director, writer, producer and human being.” Talking about sexual harassment in the film industry and the #MeToo movement, she said, “Women should secure themselves and not be dependent on anyone. You have to protect yourself from the elements around you. Nobody else can help you.”
