Exclusive: Abhishek turns down Aishwarya for lead role, looks for younger face
Says a source, “Since it's a home production, Ash was keen on doing the film.\"
Abhishek Bachchan is all set to start the shoot of his next film Lefty in mid-January. The actor is acting in the film and also co-producing it with friend Bunty Walia. It will be directed by Prabhu Deva. The leading lady however, is yet to be finalised. Word is that star actress and Abhi’s wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is willing to slip into the role, but Abhishek is insistent on a younger actress featuring in the film.
Says a source, “Since it’s a home production, Ash was keen on doing the film. But Abhi has instructed his team to look for a fresh, young face to play the leading lady. He thinks Ash may be too mature for the role.”
The sci-fi thriller will see Abhishek playing the role of a left-handed person (he is also left handed in real life too) blessed with special powers that help him sense trouble. He sets out on a mission to save his city. The story, penned by Kona Venkat who has previously written Ready and Boney Kapoor’s Mom, is set in Hyderabad.
