Thinking of adopting 7-8 kids: Aditi Rao Hydari
At the work front, the actress has been doing various films in South both in Telugu and Tamil.
Adoption has been on the mind of actress Aditi Rao Hydari who believes it to be the most amazing thing one can do. The actress is only waiting for the right time for it to happen and hints that it could happen after two years from now.
“I love children and at times think of adopting about seven to eight children,” says Aditi and adds, “I had thought about it but I have never made an announcement... Who knows that may happen after two years from now… it’s one of the most amazing things that one can do… But, right now I am not going to make any statements because later, you guys will keep a gun on my head and I may be bound by it (laughs).”
Besides adoption, the 32-year-old actress takes a keen interest in the field of education and has funded it for several children and urges people to do the same as she launched a nationwide campaign — Pega Teach For Change movement.
At the work front, the actress has been doing various films in South both in Telugu and Tamil. “Down South, a whole different kind of world has opened up for me. In 2016, I did a film with Mani (Ratnam) sir titled Kaatru Veliyidai (released in 2017). Last year, I did Sammohanam. I have a film with Dhanush coming up, which is his second directorial venture. He is also acting in it and I am pitied opposite him. I am also doing a thrilled titled Psycho with Mysskin,” shares Aditi.
Shedding a sharper light at her singing talent, Aditi says, “I have sung a song for A R Rahman sir and now I am singing for his nephew. Hopefully, I can sing a title.”
The actress who is raised partly in Andhra Pradesh and partly in Delhi feels that with acting all her wishes have been bestowed upon her. “As a kid, I didn’t know anything about Mumbai and films but my feelings were always like I want to be this heroine and work with this director. Surprisingly, that era has come for me. I got an opportunity to work with Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Mani Ratnam,” says Aditi and adds that she feels she has been blessed to have work with good directors. “Directors make actors blossom. For an actor, there is nothing more important than having a great director and a team. You may be having talent as high as the sky but if the director does not tap that and showcase your exuberant talent on the screen, then it’s like you might as well put on a light in the bathroom.”
While the actress seems to be having her hands full in South, she is missing from Mumbai and hasn’t been doing as much in Hindi cinema. “I am so happy that I am back in a place where I can speak the language I know... I have been missing to speak it for so many days owing to my film commitment down South,” says Aditi and smilingly adds, “Maine apne fans ko dhoka nahi diya hai, mujhe sabne dhoka diya... Mere pass koi script nahi layi gayi hai (it is not me who has ditched my fans but it is me who has been ditched. No script has reached me)… But since the time I have returned I have already read a few scripts, hopefully, soon there will be a Hindi film announcement also of which I will be a part.”
