Daaku Maharaaj sees a dip in collections on Day 2
After a massive opening on Day 1, Daaku Maharaaj witnessed a slight drop in collections on its second day in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. "The film collected over ₹13 crore on Day 2 in the Telugu states," said a distributor. "With ₹25 crore on Day 1, the total two-day collections stand at ₹38 crore, and a few holidays are still left," he added.
The action-packed film starring Balakrishna has its share of flaws, but Nandamuri fans flocked to theatres on Sunday and Monday. "The next few days will be crucial for the film to maintain momentum and establish a record in the Telugu states," the distributor noted.
In Daaku Maharaaj, Balakrishna once again takes on an anger-driven role, showcasing varied shades under the direction of Bobby Koli.
However, with competition from Game Changer and Sankranthi Vasthunam in theatres, the holiday crowd in smaller towns and villages has multiple options, making it a challenge for any single film to dominate the festival season.
