Director Bobby Kolli said that they were surprised by the backlash for the ‘Dabidi Dibidi' song in their upcoming film ‘Daaku Maharaj’. "We were quite surprised because our earlier song ‘Chinni’, a soulful number, clocked three million views, while ‘Dabidi Dibidi’ garnered 13 million views and is still counting, despite trolls and flak. People are asking more about this song,” he said at the presser of ‘Daaku Maharaaj'.
“Maybe, the audience couldn't digest a massy song after a soothing melody so expressed a tad disappointment and we should have released it a bit earlier,” he added.
On a few lewd dance steps between Balakrishna and Urvashi Rautela, “Balakrishna doesn’t suggest anything nor gets involved in any discussions. He completely leaves it to the choreographer and director to call,” he informed.
He also clarified about missing the name of Jr NTR during their show in "Unstoppable NBK" and said it happened due to oversight. 'We didn't have an agenda and it was purely coincidental. Balakrishna appreciated Jr. NTR's performance in 'Jai Lava Kusa' and discussed the film with him several times," he said. .
Bobby further shared a common trait between Balayya and Jr NTR of worrying about the safety of their respective fans. "Both are worried about their fan's well-being. When we were shooting in Pune, a fan of NTR turned up but the hero didn't pose for pictures with him. He told me that he doesn't want to encourage such things since their safety is utmost," he added.
He also said, "During a break in the Unstoppable shoot, Balakrishna himself expressed that Jr. NTR would be an ideal choice for a lead role in one of their film discussions."
