After the blockbuster ‘RRR”, reigning star NTR Jr is returning with an action-based film 'Devara Part One' with ace director Koratala Siva and it has already generated enough hype among fans as well as in the industry. The first-look poster also indicated that the Nandamuri icon is essaying an anger-driven role, holding a spear with blood marks on a rock amidst waves in the sea. “This big action film touches upon the ghastly Karamchedu (a place near Bapatla in Andhra Pradesh) incident that triggered a political storm in united Andhra Pradesh in 1985. Since some Dalits were massacred and many were injured by ruthless upper caste thugs besides leaving hundreds of Dalits homeless,” says a source.

It looks like Koratala Siva draws inspiration from real-life incidents. For instance, he made ‘Srimanthudu’ revolving around village adoptions when the issue was in vogue in society. He also got inspired by the Naxal movement for his other big film ‘Acharya” with Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan. “Movies inspired by real-life incidents always connect better with the audience since the pain and anguish suffered by victims and aggressors' fearless attitude are bound to look more real on screen," the source points out.

Nonetheless, NTR is enacting a dual in this movie and planning to expand his fans across India and the world over. “He would be looking to expand his footprint in the Hindi heartland and give his rivals like Prabhas and Allu Arjun a run for their money,” he concludes.
