The much-hyped pre-release event of 'Devara Part 1' has been reportedly cancelled due to overcrowding in the city of Hyderabad. Jr NTR was advised against attending due to the overwhelming crowd.

Directed by Siva Koratala, the film, featuring Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor, will release on September 27, 2024. NTR fans went berserk at the venue and it led to a chaos kind of situation and forcing cops to caution the makers and stop the event. Social media is filled with videos and photos of fans looking disappointed as the makers called off the much-anticipated event.

After cancellation of the much-awaited pre-release event of ‘Devara’ on Sunday night, reigning star Jr NTR released a video expressing his anguish and pain over the cancellation. “I am feeling very bad and more than all you all (fans) as I was waiting to share many thoughts with you.In fact, I would remember your love and affection for my whole life, “ said NTR, who claims that event was stopped due security reasons. “It would be unfair to even blame the makers or organisers since things went out of bounds a bit,” he adds. However, he wishes to meet his legion of fans through his film ‘Devara’ set to release on September 27. “I need your wishes and blessings since everyone in the film worked very hard and especially director Koratala Siva has done a fabulous job. I hope you will all like our film and bless us,” he adds.

According to an organiser, the crowds turned up five to six times more than expected and created some chaos at Novotel Hotel in Hyderabad “Initially, we wanted to organise the event in a open ground to fit in as many people as possible, But due to weather conditions, we had to move to indoors,” he says and adds, “The seating capacity in the hotel hall was 5500 members but almost more than 30000 fans turned up to have a glimpse of their favourite hero and things went bit out of hand,” he explains. The crowds were trickling in from 4.30 pm in vans and buses from remote areas and the hotel premises were filling up faster than expected. “Police bandobast was increased from four to 40, still things weren’t coming under control, however, thanks to the police department for their support in critical moments. At one stage, 6000 were seated inside where another 2000 were standing in the venue so it was called off to avoid untoward incidents,” he adds.
He feels that NTR is feeling more unhappy over the turn of events and actually wanted to be with them and share his experience since fans for him are close to his heart. “It was NTR who was baffled and surprised and immediately released a video explaining the situation and his fans would have understood his pain," he concludes
