Just recently, the rumour mills went buzzing that John Legend was sending out a casting call out for Donald Trump supporters who were white and ‘preferably out of shape’, to film a rally with them for his upcoming music video. The artiste received a lot of backlash for it, but now, John himself took to Twitter to set the record straight.

JustJared.com reported that on Sunday, John slammed the rumours by tweeting, “There’s a casting call out there claiming to represent me looking for ‘out of shape’ Trump supporters. This didn’t come from me or my team.”  His distaste for the president is widely known. “I still think Trump is awful and whoever voted for him did a disservice to the country. But I didn’t issue this casting call,” he added.
