Patrick Stewart to join Star Wars

As has been rumoured for months, Patrick Stewart has officially signed on to star in a new Star Trek series in which he will reprise his role as Jean-Luc Picard. The new series will not be a reboot of The Next Generation but will explore the next chapter of Picard’s life, reports EOnline.com. “The time has come to Make it so!” read a post on the official Star Trek Twitter page. “@SirPatStew will be returning to his iconic role as Jean-Luc Picard in a new #CBSAllAccess #StarTrek series that tells the story of the next chapter in Picard’s life,” they added.
