Taylor Swift gets her own award

Just when you thought she couldn't climb the music ladder any higher, Taylor Swift has just gotten her own award named after her by the Broadcast Music, Inc., (BMI) Pop Awards.

While the ceremony will be held on May 10 in Beverly Hills, California, BMI Vice-President Barbara Cane said in a statement the Taylor has “transformed pop culture” through her songs, artistry and “indomitable spirit”, according to JustJared.com.

She added, “She has had a profound impact, not only musically, but also through her personal conviction and commitment to create a standard that values and respects music for everyone.”
