Sinead O'Connor says she is suicidal
The 50-year-old singer was reported missing by her son Jake Reynolds in 2016.
Singer songwriter Sinead O’Connor posted a video on Facebook claiming that she is suicidal and asked her family to get in touch with her.
Just before the weekend, the Nothing Compares 2U hitmaker was visibly distressed in the video where she shed tears, urging people to take care of people suffering from mental illnesses. The video was posted from a motel in which she says she has been living.
“Suddenly, all the people who are supposed to be loving you or taking care of you treat you like s**t,” Sinead says in the video and continues, “Why are we alone? People who suffer from mental illness are the most vulnerable people on Earth. You’ve got to take care of us. We’re not like everybody. I just want to make this video so you all could see what the f**k it’s like. It’s the stigma that’s killing people, not the mental f**king illnesses.”
The 50-year-old singer was reported missing by her son Jake Reynolds in 2016, but was later found safe at a hotel and brought to the hospital.
