Jim, 54, had his wife put up a Facebook status with a photo of himself in a hospital bed flashing a thumbs up.
British actor Jim Tavaré, most famous around the world as Tom the Innkeeper in the 2004 film Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, met with a serious car crash on Monday and is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital, according to Dailymail.co.uk.
Jim, 54, had his wife put up a Facebook status with a photo of himself in a hospital bed flashing a thumbs up, captioning it, “Jim has asked me to let you all know that he was involved in a serious car accident yesterday, a head on collision. He’s currently in ICU intensive care. He has 15 broken ribs, fractures in both breastbones, a punctured lung, multiple breaks in his right leg, and a broken neck. He’s had 2 blood transfusions so far and is about to go in for his first surgery. (sic)” The actor, who also starred in the BAFTA-winning comedy series The Sketch Show, reportedly moved to Los Angeles in 2008, but the location of the accident was not revealed.
