Steve Harvey says the guy suing him for a huge amount of money for one of Harvey’s charities, Vincent Dimmock, is a fraud, and that Dimmock carried out the whole charade just to meet with the celebrity.

TMZ.com reports that Harvey just filed legal documents firing back at Dimmock, who claimed in his lawsuit that he struck a deal with Harvey in April last year to raise $20 million, and in return he was promised 12.5 per cent of everything he raked in. He says he got many A-listers on board and even a former president... with pledges totalling $20 million.

Harvey said Dimmock originally reached out to him to promote an energy drink, and when that went nowhere, Harvey says Dimmock pivoted and falsely told him that a billionaire he knew would invest big in Harvey’s charity.

When Steve flew to Austin to meet the billionaire, he claims that it became evident the guy didn’t know Dimmock at all. Harvey says neither the billionaire nor anyone else connected to Dimmock invested a penny in any of his ventures.
