Singer to pay $150,000 in Rape settlement
Director Bryan Singer has agreed to pay the settlement amount to resolve allegations that he raped a 17-year-old boy in 2003.
The famous director was alleged to have raped the then 17-year-old Cesar Sanchez-Guzman at a Yacht party in Seattle approximately 15 years ago.
According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, a bankruptcy trustee insisted the court approve to a $150,000 settlement with Singer. As Sanchez-Guzman has officially filed for bankruptcy, the judge hence has to sign off on the settlement.
As reported by TMZ Singer’s attorney, Andrew Brettler claims the director still stands by his innocence.
TMZ goes on to reveal Singer’s attorney’s viewpoints: “Singer has denied even knowing this individual, let alone allegedly having interacted with him more than 15 years ago. The decision to resolve the matter with the bankruptcy trustee was purely a business one.”
