Taylor Swift wins groping trial
The 27-year-old singer is seeking only one dollar in damages.
Taylor Swift can finally take a breather as her legal battle with the Colorado-based DJ has come to an end. E! News reports that on Friday, it was found by the jury which comprised of six women and two men that the DJ, David Mueller, did assault and batter her. The jury also found that Swift’s mother, Andrea Swift and Frank Bell were not liable for tortious interference with contract.
The closing arguments were given by the lawyers in the case on Monday and Taylor became emotional during the final statements. The 27-year-old singer is seeking only one dollar in damages.
The radio DJ had sued Taylor for $3 million after accusing her of getting him fired from his job for having ‘defamed him’ by saying that he had groped her during a photo op.
