Hours before he is set to take to the stage at Coachella with Slash, AC/DC has confirmed Axl Rose will join them as their lead singer for the remainder of their current world tour. The British/Australian heavy metal rockers said Rose will replace Brian Johnson on their Rock Or Bust World Tour since their long time frontman is suffering from serious hearing loss.

AC/DC broke off a North American tour last month due to Johnson’s hearing issues and said Saturday Rose, 54, will make his debut with the band on a 12-show European leg starting on May 7 in Lisbon.

“AC/DC band members would like to thank Brian Johnson for his contributions and dedication to the band throughout the years,” the band said in a statement.
It went on, “We wish him all the best with his hearing issues and future ventures. As much as we want this tour to end as it started, we understand, respect and support Brian's decision to stop touring and save his hearing.”
