Robert Pattinson, the next Batman?
The latest buzz is that Twilight series-fame Robert Pattinson has been approached for the role.
Who’s to play Bruce Wayne in the next Batman movie seems to be finalised now! After Justice League Batman Ben Affleck reportedly walked out of the Matt Reeves project on the DC comic superhero, many names, including Nicholas Hoult, Armie Hammer and Aaron Taylor-Johnson featured in the list of contenders to play the caped crusader. However, the latest buzz is that Twilight series-fame Robert Pattinson has been approached for the role. The film is set to hit the screens on June 25, 2021.
Earlier, Affleck was supposed to write, direct, and act in the superhero flick, but in January, reports suggested that the makers were looking for a ‘younger Bruce Wayne’. That 33-year-old Robert Pattinson is in talks with the makers hasn’t gone down well with many. According to Variety, negotiations are underway and the deal is expected to be sealed soon.
Robert, best known for playing Edward Cullen in the Twilight series released from 2008 to 2012, last starred in period-piece The Lighthouse with Willem Dafoe which is set to debut at the Cannes Film Festival this weekend.
