Leonardo DiCaprio spoke at the Our Oceans Conference in Washington, D.C. on Thursday. During the event, the actor and environmental activist, introduced a new online tool called Global Fishing Watch, to curb illegal fishing. The device allows people to keep track of global fishing practices, a project of Oceana, SkyTruth, and Google, it was reported on JustJared.com.

“They are pushing our oceans to the very brink. Treating our oceans as an endless resource and a dumping ground for our waste,” Leo said, referring to those who damage the environment.
