Brad and I working towards same goal: Angelina post separation and Bell's Palsy bout
Angelina Jolie has had a tumultuous 2016 and 2017, with her separation from partner of 12 years, Brad Pitt.
Mumbai: Angelina Jolie has had a particularly tumultuous 2016 and 2017, with her sensational separation from partner of 12 years, Brad Pitt, grabbing more headlines than her directorial, First They Killed My Father, a film adaptation of Loung Ung's 2000 memoir.
The actress has now opened up about the ordeal through her personal life.
In an interview to Vanity Fair, Angelina has revealed that Brad and she are working towards the same goal. Though things got self-admittedly bad in 2016, she’d rather call it a difficult period.
Though she did not particularly delve into the reasons behind the split, she quashed rumours of Pitt’s growing insecurity towards frequent travelling, having wanted a stable, settled life.
"That was not the problem. That is and will remain one of the wonderful opportunities we are able to give our children ...They're six very strong-minded, thoughtful, worldly individuals. I'm very proud of them," she said.
On being prodded further on her equation with Pitt, she said, "We care for each other and care about our family, and we are both working towards the same goal."
Jolie, who had also been diagnosed with Bell’s Palsy, a condition that partially paralyses a person’s face, revealed that acupuncture helped her fully recover the condition. "Sometimes women in families put themselves last until it manifests itself in their own health," she ruminated.
