After Wonder Woman, Charlize Theron's Atomic Blonde to take India by storm!
The super success of the DC superhero flick has opened doors to more female-oriented action films in the country.
Mumbai: Charlize Theron all set to kick some ass a with Atomic Blonde on 11th August in India, to be released by PVR Pictures
After the super successful ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ and ‘The Huntsman: Winter's War,’ the uber-sexy Charlize Theron is back with a bang (literally) with the much awaited – ‘Atomic Blonde’.
Directed by David Leitch (who co-directed John Wick and is set to direct Deadpool 2) the film is set in Berlin during the cold war, which showcases Charlize Theron essaying the role of an undercover MI6 agent.
The film is based on Antony Johnston and Sam Hart's 2012 graphic novel - The Coldest City, which revolves around a spy who has to find a list of double agents who are being smuggled into the West.
Also starring James McAvoy and Sofia Boutella, the film promises some breathtaking action, high speed chase and love making sequences.
Produced by Theron, the film has her totally reinventing the action combat visual showcase and more so with her having done all her own action sequences herself. Talking about the film and doing her own action, Theron says, "I asked David (director), ‘We’re going to pretend that right?'. David was like, ‘No you’re actually going to throw big dudes.’ So I was like - Alright, let’s throw some big dudes.”
After the super success of ‘Wonder Woman’ in India, where woman taking Centrestage and film subjects with women leading the way along doing some serious hardcore action are being accepted by packed cinema houses, ‘Atomic Blonde’ surely stands a good chance of leaving a big mark in the Indian Market.
