Reigning star Jr NTR claimed that he is feeling nervous about his upcoming film ‘Devara’ set for release on September 27. “I am truly nervous since it is releasing after RRR’ which you all know rocked the box office worldwide. Thanks to my co-star Ram Charan in ‘RRR,’ he says and adds, “This is my solo release after six years and expectations are soaring high.” He launched the trailer of the much-hyped film in Mumbai. When asked about record-breaking bookings in North America, he turned humble and said, “It’s all due to God’s blessings and wishes of my legion of fans,” he adds.
NTR is promoting the film in Hind heartland since Hindi dubbing rights were sold for over Rs 50 crores, “It was a fancy deal and is expected to draw big openings in North India since it is releasing after blockbuster ‘RRR'. NTR's attained mass image and it is going to fetch him more Hindi-speaking fans in the days to come,’ says a Hindi distributor who marks it as one of the highest rates for a Telugu actor in recent times. “The initial price was pegged at Rs 40 crore but later it was escalated by Hindi distributors to Rs 50 crores to match up to his rising popularity across India and his debut in Bollywood with ‘War 2' as well,’ he adds.
The film also boasts of Bollywood stars like Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan and it will be promoted by another Bollywood diva Alia Bhatt. “Promotions are key and Bollywood faces will make the film more popular in North India and give much-needed openings,” he concludes.
