IIFA Utsavam 2024: PS II Actor Jayaram dedicates award to River Godavari

While the actor thanked the maker for giving him the opportunity to work in the magnum opus, Jayaram also recalled the harsh weather conditions during which he shot for the movie. Recalling an incident, Jayaram said, “We had to can a sequence which was meant to be shot at one go. This was peak of April when the Sun is out in all its glory in Andhra Pradesh. The blistering heat makes it impossible to stay barefoot. But somehow I managed to walk and pull it off. So I dedicate this award to River Godavari.”

It was a clean sweep for the Maniratnam movie as Ponniyin Selvam bagged a majority of the awards.

Jayaram has worked in several Telugu movies including, Allu Arjun’s Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo. He will be next seen in Ram Charan’s Game Changer.
