Preminchukundam Raa Maker Eyes Comeback
Hyderabad: Veteran filmmaker Jayanth C Paranjee who made heart-touching love stories like ‘Premante Iddera’ and ‘Premichukundam Raa’ is planning to make a comeback with a thematic film. “Jayanth is holding discussions and also readied an engaging script for a new producer and it will take off this year," says a source, who claims Jayanth made his mark in Tollywood in the late 90’s and 2010. “His last film ‘Jayadev’ with TDP leader Ghanta Srinivas Rao’s son Ghanta Ravi failed to impress,” he adds.
He also worked with big stars like Chiranjeevi in ‘Bavagaru Bagunnara’ and ‘Shankar Dada MBBS’ and also tasted success with Nandamuri Balakrishna’s film ‘Lakshmi Narasimha’. “He also worked with Nagarjuna and Venkatesh and made a cowboy film ‘Takkari Donga’ with Mahesh Babu and carved a niche for himself,” he points out. Later, big flops like ‘Allari Pidigu’ and ‘Teenmaar’ dented his career, and offers dwindled for the noted director.
He is game for variety and planning to return with a bang to connect with new-age viewers with an exciting and interesting story.
