With more Telugu films slated for release on August 15, in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Keerthy Suresh's next Tamil movie 'Raghu Thatha' will not be released simultaneously in Telugu states. "Despite Keerthy Suresh having fans among Telugus, the makers have deferred the release in Telugu states," says a source who adds, "Even earlier big Tamil films like Varisu and Captain Miller were released after a week in Telugu states because Telugu distributors and exhibitors prefer Telugu films over dubbed ones during festivals and holidays," he adds.

Earlier, in an interview, Keerthy Suresh claimed that she declined a role in the blockbuster 'Kalki 2898 AD.' She revealed that she was initially offered a different role by director Nag Ashwin, which she refused. However, her desire to be part of the project remained steadfast, leading Ashwin to suggest her voiceover for the futuristic AI car Bujji—a role she embraced enthusiastically. Her subtle comments and comic onliners with Prabhas evoked a few laughs and were widely appreciated.

Keerthy has made waves in Tollywood with hits like "Mahanati and 'Sarkarivari Paata' and 'Nenu Local' to carve a niche for herself in Telugu. "She is quite busy in varied languages and doing films like "Baby John," "Revolver Rani," and "Uppu Kappurambu," to showcase her versatility," he concludes.
