I knew the film needed Vijay: Bharathan
The film is a two-heroine subject and talks are still on, says Bharathan with a smile.
We had already reported that Vijay is teaming up with director Bharathan of Azhagiya Thamizh Magan fame after completing Atlee’s Theri. While rumours are abuzz that the crew had finalised Kajal Aggarwal and Keerthy Suresh as the heroines, DC learns that the team hasn’t zeroed in on anybody as the leading lady.
Director Bharathan says , “The film is a two-heroine subject and talks are still on. We’ve not decided who will play the two heroines. We are planning to extensively shoot in Hyderabad, Chennai and Rajahmundry. I wrote this script having only Vijay on mind, and when I narrated the script to him for two and a half hours, he loved the story and said ‘yes’ immediately. This will be an out-and-out family, commercial entertainer, very much like the other films. Santhosh Narayanan is composing music and there will be five songs,” Bharathan tells us.
When asked why he chose Vijay for the second time, he says, “I think the film has a good story and I knew the film needed Vijay. He’s one of the actors who goes to any extent to deliver what the director expects.”
