Karthik's next has no dialogues
His latest offering is Escape, a 13-minute short film, set in a foreign backdrop, dialogue-less and with music by Timothy Buckman.
After Kamal’s experimental attempt Pushpaka Vimana, a silent movie, which did not have any dialogues and was critically acclaimed, here is a young filmmaker Karthik Subbaraj, who has bankrolled a film, Escape, directed by Jagadeesh Pandian, with no dialogues.
After making a mark for himself as a filmmaker by picking out-of-the-box themes in his films — Pizza, Jigarthanda and Iraivi, Karthik Subbaraj’s started an initiative, Bench Flix, which served as a great platform to promote talented short filmmakers. His latest offering is Escape, a 13-minute short film, set in a foreign backdrop, dialogue-less and with music by Timothy Buckman and cinematography by Seth Pandian which compliments the director’s vision. ‘You might be a stranger, but you could be a part of the most intimate moment of someone else’s life’, is the theme of the story.
