Jyothika takes mass heroine avatar

Jyothika may have hit the jackpot. Indeed, Jackpot is the title of Jo’s next film with Kalyan of Gulebhagavali fame, where she will be seen in a character that may give her the tag of a mass heroine hereafter.  At least that’s what director Kalyan believes. “Her character is akin to Superstar Rajini sir in Petta.”  And the first look revealed where Jo is standing on a jeep sporting a daring look with a ‘come what may’ attitude reiterates it.

Speaking to DC, he says, “Jackpot is a fantasy dark comedy, a script meant for a mass hero. It has a period setting and the story starts in 1800 and moves to the current era later. Jyothika madam plays Akshaya, a bold, adventurous and rugged character. She drives a jeep and rides a Bullet. She has done a few daredevil stunts without a body double and there are six action blocks in the film. Despite the stunt choreographers Dileep and Rock Prabhu insisting on a double for the risky car chase and bike stunts, she insisted that she would do it herself. She has an amazing commitment and energy and pulled it off so well.”  

Kalyan reveales that Revathy essays Maasha in a comedy role and continues her good streak of humour from his previous flick Gulebhagavali. “Jo and Revathy combo will be like how the ‘lollu’ combo brand of humour of Sathyaraj and Goundamani in yesteryear films.” Sachchu,Yogi Babu, Mansoor Ali Khan and Anandraj are in supporting cast.
