Kamal Haasan, Shankar join hands for Indian 2
The Bigg Boss host is all set to join hands with director Shankar for the sequel of their 1996 movie Indian.
When one was expecting the next big political announcement from Kamal Haasan, the actor-filmmaker (and soon-to-be politician), has come up with rather surprising news! The Bigg Boss host is all set to join hands with director Shankar for the sequel of their 1996 movie Indian.
The film will be bankrolled by award-winning film producer Dil Raju under his production banner Sri Venkateswara Creations. A tweet from the official handle of the production house has confirmed the news. The tweet read, “Delighted to be associated with two stalwarts of Indian Cinema @ikamalhaasan and @shankarshanmugh for the prestigious project #Indian2.”(sic.). A picture of the trio with a flower bouquet has been making the rounds of social media.
At the point of writing the article, a source in the know said that an announcement of sorts about the movie was made in the finale of Bigg Boss show with Shankar and Dil Raju attending it. Evidently, the picture of the three celebs on the show has also gone viral on social networking sites.
Indian was classic, about an old vigilante fighting against corruption by slaying the wrong-doers. It looks like the upcoming film is another move from Kamal, who has been voicing against corruption, towards his political journey.
Will Kamal start using his films as tools to propel his political career like the former Tamil Nadu chief ministers MGR and Karunanidhi?
