Megha Akash's fan moment with Rajinikanth
Dreams do come true... And sometimes you do get to touch the stars. #mysmilesaysitall #thesuperstar.
Rajinikanth commenced his shoot for Petta in Varanasi from October 1 with Trisha, who plays his pair, joining him for a four-week schedule. Directed by Karthik Subbaraj, a few portions of the film were canned in Lucknow with Megha Akash, who plays a small yet significant character, being part of the schedule.
Posting a picture, the actress shared her fan moment with Superstar on her social media handle and wrote, “Dreams do come true... And sometimes you do get to touch the stars. #mysmilesaysitall #thesuperstar.”
Meanwhile, a picture reportedly shared by another actor, Ramachandran, with Rajini suggests that the latter might play a Misa Act (Maintenance of Internal Security) prisoner in the flashback portions. In the picture, Rajinikanth is seen donning a tattoo on his right forearm reading MISA 109, which led to the speculation that the Kabali star might play a Misa prisoner under a law imposed during the Emergency under Mrs Indira Gandhi in 1975. Petta also stars Simran, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and Vijay Sethupathi in lead roles.
