Post Baahubali, Ramya Krishnan’s film career has soared high and is now the most sought-after when it comes to bold roles. After Kamal Haasan roped  her in for Sabaash Naidu, where she stars opposite him, the ravishing actress has been signed on for Suriya’s Thaana Serntha Koottam. The movie has already garnered attention for its stellar cast, which includes Keerthi Suresh, ace comedian Senthil, yesteryear director/cinematographer Suresh Menon and RJ Balaji.

Confirming her role as part of the TSK, Ramya asserts, “I am really excited! It’s a very vital character and I was floored when director Vignesh Shivn narrated it.” Fielding probing questions about her character, she says, “I can’t reveal much at this point of time. Then the entire plot will be revealed. All I can say is that it is neither soft nor with grey shades.” Talking about the relation with Suriya in the film, she reveals, “My character is not directly connected to Suriya in anyway in TSK, but it is a crucial one and takes the story forward.” No wonder the Padaiyappa actress has given 35 days of her call sheet to the movie.

The actress says that she is happy with the roles she is being offered right now. On Sabaash Naidu she says, “We completed one schedule in the US. It is just enough to be alongside Kamal sir. You learn everything. Like in our earlier movie, Panchathanthiram, I have attempted comedy in Sabaash Naidu.  I do have a flair for humour. Like I said earlier, one can follow what Kamal instructs, and the shot will get okayed in the first take itself.”

She has a crucial role to perform in Baahubali 2, she quips. “In Baahubali:  The Conclusion, I have a significant screen space as the flashback portions open up here. The shooting is still going on.  I am looking forward to it!”
