After acting in Telugu and Kannada films, popular Bhojpuri and Bollywood actor, Ravi Kishan, has set his eyes on Kollywood. The actor, who made his debut in one of the lead roles in T Rajhendherr’s Monisha En Monalisa, will be making his re-entry as a villain in an upcoming city-based action flick, which stars Vikram as the hero. This film, directed by Vijay Chander, will also mark actress Sai Pallavi’s debut in Kollywood.

In an exclusive chat with DC, Ravi Kishan confirms that he is part of the film, but is yet to sign on the dotted line. “I have been dying to act in Tamil films and I am glad that it is happening with this one. Vijay saw my performance in the Telugu film, Race Gurram, and was keen on having me as the villain for the story. When he narrated the script, I was blown away and immediately gave my nod. I won’t be able to reveal anything about my character at this stage. But, whenever I essay negative roles, I come out of my comfort zone,” he starts off his conversation.

The actor is all praises for his co-star, Vikram. “I shared screen space with Vikram, when we did Mani Ratnam’s Raavan. He is a dear friend and a fantastic actor. I am eagerly waiting to see Vikram’s performance as a fan. I adore his acting skills,” he shares. Ravi Kishan, who has acted in over 400 films across several languages, is an ardent follower of Tamil cinema. “There are great and talented actors here, like Thala Ajith, Vijay, and Rajinikanth. I constantly watch Tamil films. The industry is open to experimenting and I could see the undying passion in the actors and technicians. I am awaiting the release of Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar starrer 2.0,” he concludes. The actor now has 11 films in different languages, ready for release.
