Amresh Ganesh clears the air on MSKS controversy
Amresh, who debuts as a composer with MSKS clarifies his stand with evidence on how Tinku took him for a ride in the name of friendship.
Actor-turned-music composer Amresh Ganesh, son of veteran heroine, Jayachithra, is embroiled in a controversy as actor Tinku, claimed that Amresh lifted songs that were composed for their (Tinku and Robert’s) movie and used them in Lawrence’s upcoming film, Motta Shiva Ketta Shiva. Amresh, who debuts as a composer with MSKS clarifies his stand with evidence on how Tinku took him for a ride in the name of friendship.
“Earlier in 2015, Tinku approached me along with dance master Robert, to compose for a proposed movie titled, Thatha Kaarai Thodathe, which was to be directed by Tinku. Since they didn’t have a budget at that time, Tinku asked me to compose for the sake of friendship, which I agreed to, as I was looking for a break then. I did the intro song, Hara Hara Mahedevaki, as the situation given was about fake swamiji’s. I did yet another song, Bajana Paapa, for them. They never gave me the advance and there was no agreement when we started since I worked on the basis of trust,” explains Amresh.
“Later, Tinku called me and asked for money to shoot the song visuals in Bangkok,” he adds. “After some deliberation, I agreed to pay him Rs 5.5 lakh, and gave him an advance of Rs 1.5 lakh. This time, I had an agreement on a stamp paper. After all this, he has the nerve to sell my song to another producer with posters crediting another composer,” he retorts. Amresh says that even if there’s an issue, it is between him and Tinku . “Tinku has no business to talk ill about actor/ filmmaker Lawrence, the hero of Motta Shiva Ketta Shiva. I have all the evidence to prove that I am on the right side and ready to face Tinku in court.”
