I am glad that Bigg Boss is paving way for my acting career. I will be announcing my next project in a week or ten days,” reveals Bigg Boss Season 1 winner Arav Nafeez in a casual chat with DC. With an engineering background, Arav has ventured into films with his own effort. Having played a role with negative shades in Saithaan, the actor also has two films as a hero. While those films are yet to release, he was called in as a contestant on Bigg Boss Tamil.

“The show was a crux of what we experience in daily life. We see a lot of people with different mindsets everyday — but living in such an environment alongside them is a different ball game altogether. You start to notice a difference in yourself,” begins Arav. The actor also states that the show teaches people a lot of life lessons. “Self-retrospection is the key. You analyse yourself as a person and correct your wrong deeds.”

Arav, unlike other housemates, maintained his cool most of the time. “Everyone in the house felt stressed after a point of time. I felt homesick two months in — but I didn’t want to show it to the others. I’d have to face them later and there is no point lamenting about my stress. Also, I’ve lived my life like that without showing my emotions to others,” he exclaims. The actor admits that it might be difficult to roam around the city like he used to.

“I would still want to lead a normal life. But, there are loads of people who love you based on the show. I’m overwhelmed to see the response. It is quite unexpected and I have the responsibility to return to the society. It’s good to know that people like you before knowing you personally,” he asserts. Arav also adds that he doesn’t have any regrets. “Bigg Boss is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and I’m glad that withstood 100 days. I won the show and the love of people. I don’t have plans to slow down and will be active in films here on,” he concludes.
