Delighted to team up with Suriya again
It\'s a family entertainer, says producer.
Producer Gnanavelraja, who finally got to work with Suriya in the recently-announced film Aruvaa with director Hari, has denied rumours of a misunderstanding between him and the hero. He told DC that all was well between them.
“This is the seventh collaboration with Suriya Sir and I am extremely delighted. We don’t have any issues between us. It is just that he got busy with his commitments with other producers and I was making films with other heroes.”
Speaking about allegations that someone else held the rights to the title Aruvaa, Gnanavelraja said, “Really? I am not aware [of that]. To my knowledge, director Hari has been holding the rights to the title Aruvaa for the last 15 years and renewing it with Tamil Film Producers Council.”
On the film, he says “It’s a new script written by Hari for Suriya Sir. It will be a complete family entertainer. We are going in for a fresh combo in terms of technicians. Music is by Imman, who is working with Suriya for the first time. We are in the process of finalising the team.”
Though Gnanavel was tight-lipped about the heroine, the buzz is that Rashmika Mandana has been roped in as Suriya’s pair.
