An audio launch with a difference
Actress Namitha was spotted at the event and received the first set of audio from the team.
At the audio launch of Yaagan, the team offered financial aid to late Na. Muthukumar’s family as the ace lyricist had written a few beautiful songs in the film.
Directed by Vinodh Thangavel, the film has Sajan from Denmark, making his entry as the hero and Anjena Kirti of Chennai 600028: Second Innings fame as his pair. Niro Prabhakar has composed the tracks.
Recalling his association with Na. Muthukumar, producer J Satish Kumar said, “I am proud that Muthukumar won the national award for his soul-stirring song Anandha Yaazhai Meetugiraai from Thanga Meengal, which was distributed by me. The song fetched me '11.2 crores through caller tunes!Yet another song by him in Rummy got me a revenue of '78 lakh. They gave me a new dimension in the business of cinema.”
Suresh Kamatchi said, “If Ilaiyaraaja sir wins his case on the issue of royalty, it will be beneficial for Muthukumar’s family as well.”
