Rumours of fire in Thalapathy 63 set scotched
A member of the team denies any such incident and dismissed all such talk as mere rumours.
Thalapathy 63, the next film of Vijay in Atlee’s direction, has not been in the news for quite the right reasons. When the shooting commenced, a focus light fell on electrician Selvaraj’s head and he sustained an injury. Vijay visited the hospital and gave him financial assistance. Later, KP Selvah, an aspiring director, came up with the charge that the story of Thalapathy 63 was his and he went to court alleging Atlee has plagiarised it. The matter is sub-judice now.
Once again on Thursday, the industry was abuzz with the report that there was a fire accident on the sets of Thalapathy 63 that had been erected for the next schedule and encompassing houses, shops, a bank and a church, which were all supposed to have gone p in smoke.
A member of the team denies any such incident and dismissed all such talk as mere rumours. “The fire mishap took place on a set that had been erected long ago for Mersal. That set was thereafter being used by many movies. We are shooting in a completely different location than where the fire broke out.”
