In a sudden turn of events, the cops landed at the Bigg Boss set at the EVP film city to investigate an alleged kidnap case filed against Vanitha Vijayakumar, an actor and the daughter of veteran actors Vijayakumar and late Majula. Vanitha was questioned for a few hours.

Indeed, she might have to quit the Kamal Haasan–hosted show if the latest rumours emerging online turn out to be true.

According to police, Vanitha’s ex-husband J.Anand Rajan had lodged a complaint against Vanitha in February this year in Hyderabad for allegedly kidnapping their nine-year-old daughter Jaynitha from the child’s school. She sent message to Anand through a mutual friend that she is taking her to Chennai.

Vanitha was married to Anand Rajan, a businessman in Telangana in 2007 and the couple have a daughter named Jaynitha Rajan. The two got divorced in 2012 and the custody of Jaynitha went to her father. Following which he filed a complaint with the Telangana police. Anand Rajan has filed a habeas corpus to find the whereabouts of his daughter. Telangana police sought the help of the Nazaratpet police station as the Bigg Boss set comes under the Nazaratpet police Jurisdiction.

Sources from the Bigg Boss house also confirmed that the police had entered the house to conduct inquires. Speaking on the case, a police officer from Nazaratpet said, " Actor Vanitha Vijayakumar should hand over her daughter to Anand Raj by Wednesday evening. If she refuses to give back the child, she will be arrested."

Meanwhile, reports and rumours have emerged that actor Meera Mithun, who entered the Bigg Boss house only recently, might also be visited by the police for a money laundering case registered in Teynampet police station.

On June 21, cops entered the sets of Bigg Boss Marathi, hosted by Mahesh Manjrekar, to arrest singer cum politician Abhijit Bichukale in connection with a cheque bounce case.  A non-bailable warrant had been issued to the singer by a local court after he skipped appearance multiple times.
