Film 7 has 7 steamy lip-locks

Film 7, which marks the debut direction of popular Tamil and Telugu cinematographer Nizar Shafi, has been in the news ever since its ensemble cast of six heroines — Regina Cassandra, Nandita Sweta, Anisha Ambrose, Aditi Aarya, Poojitha and Tridha Choudhary, besides actor Havish was announced. It is learnt that the investigative thriller has as many as seven steamy lip-locks and this has created quite a buzz.

Talking to DC, Nizar says, “The film’s story is inspired from real life incidents. We have seen in news reports like ‘man arrested for cheating several women using marriage as pretext’. 7 also traverses similar lines where, on a rainy day, a lady named Ramya played by Nandita Sweta comes to the police station to give a complaint on her missing husband Karthik. And ACP Vijay, essayed by actor Rahman, is surprised as he received a similar complaint from another woman (Anisha Ambrose) who had claimed that Karthik was her husband. When he digs into the matter, he finds four other women claiming that Karthik is their legal husband thus complicating the case. How Rahman unravels it forms the crux.”

Though Nizar was not willing to open up about Regina’s character, a close source informs us that she plays a dual dimensional role.  Ask him about smooching scenes, which are reportedly aplenty in the film, and he replies, “It is an investigative thriller with romance as its focal point. I do agree there are six to seven kissing scenes with Havish, Anisha and Tridha featured in them. They are part of song routines but not forced ones. Moreover, being a cinematographer, I have shot them aesthetically.” Chaitan Bharadwaj of RX 100 fame has been roped in for music.
