Vijay takes a dual avatar once again for his upcoming flick tentatively titled Thalapathy 63. A sports drama, Vijay plays the football coach of a women’s team in the film. The latest news is that he will be seen as father and son in it. Insiders reveal that for the first time both characters will appear together in the same scene.
Vijay has portrayed more than one role in films like Azhagiya Tamizh Magan (twin brothers) and Mersal where he played a triple role of father and two sons. After his directorial Mersal turned out to be a blockbuster, looks like Atlee wants to cash on the father-son sentiment yet again in Thalapathy 63.
Nayanthara is essaying Vijay’s pair. While Jackie Shroff is the antagonist, Reba Monica John, Kathir, Daniel Balaji, Vivek, Yogi Babu, Anand Raj comprise the supporting cast. Bankrolled by AGS Entertainment, the movie also marks Vijay’s third consecutive collaboration with maestro AR Rahman after Mersal and Sarkar.
While the team was reportedly shooting father Vijay’s portions, yet another exciting info on the movie’s music has come from none other than AR Rahman himself. Rahman shared a photo of director Atlee at his studio, with the caption “Look who is here. I am the first to see ... edit of two songs”.
