Vijay learns a few tricks for Mersal

While Vijay playing a triple role is an exciting prospect on its own for his fans, the first look posters of Mersal revealed that one of those roles would be that of a magician.

This being an unusual role for the star, got the fans’ excitement piqued. Now, sources from the Mersal team reveal that Vijay indeed learnt magic and the tricks he will be seen performing in the film will be done by the actor himself! With most of the shoot completed, Mersal’s team is currently shooting for a song and patch work for the film, after which the post-production work will begin. With a release slated for Deepavali, the audio launch of the film is expected to take place later this month, and it is speculated that music director AR Rahman will be performing at the function too. Directed by Atlee, the film has Samantha, Kajal Aggarwal and Nithya Menen playing the female leads.
