Chithha elevates Siddharth's standing

“Chithha has transformed the way the film industry perceives me, and the positive feedback from my mentors like Mani Ratnam Sir and Kamal Haasan Sir has been incredibly uplifting,” shared actor-producer Siddharth.
Speaking at the thanksgiving event for, Chithha, he added, “Their encouragement underscored how crucial a filmmaker’s voice is.”
Siddharth also revealed that superstar Rajinikanth had expressed interest in the film and promised to watch it upon returning from a shoot.
Directed by Arun Kumar, Chithha was released in Tamil, Telugu and Kannada, and has won both critical acclaim and commercial success. The film, which addresses the compelling issue of child sexual abuse, was reportedly produced on a modest budget of Rs 3 crore and has raked in Rs 12 crores within five days of its release.
“The film’s success is truly a testament to my director Arun Kumar’s brilliance,” Siddharth asserted. “The subject matter resonated with me, and I immediately chose to produce it. I am immensely grateful to the entire cast.”
He also stressed the importance of releasing the film exclusively in theatres. “Even though I’ve been in the industry for over two decades, Chithha has endowed me with a new identity.”
