Ayalaan revived

Sivakarthikeyan’s sci-fi film under Ravi Kumar’s (Indru Netru Naalai fame) direction, which was jinxed by financial problems, has been revived after months of arbitration. The film, which is titled Ayalaan, is being produced by Raja of 24 AM Studios and has Rakul Preet Singh as Siva’s heroine.

A.R. Rahman has been roped in for music for the first time for a Siva movie.

Says Raja, “Ayalaan means Alien and then there’s the tag line — ‘Destination Earth’. I want to leave the rest to the audiences’ imagination. At the moment, the shooting is proceeding at a brisk pace and we have just two schedules to complete the entire filming process. The post-production work is happening simultaneously and there’s a lot involving visual effects.”

 Bollywood actor Sharad Kelkar will be playing an important role alongside Yogi Babu and Karunakaran. Nirav Shah is behind the camera.
