Trisha is geared up for yet another female-centric movie, Garjanai, the title being one of Rajinikanth’s yesteryear blockbusters. The makers have taken a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the original producers for the title. In this venture, Trisha has attempted some spine-chilling action sequences without a body double. Sundar Balu, who has many ad films to his credit, directs the movie and refutes the rumours that Garjanai is the remake of Anushka Sharma’s NH 10.

“Garjanai is a travel story, with several real-life inspirations. Trisha plays Madhu, a western dancer, who goes to Kodaikanal for an event, where she gets trapped. How she gets out of her predicament forms the rest,” Sundar tells us.

Delving more on the film, he says, “Trisha has performed a few high-octane stunts for the film, without the help of a dupe. Her introduction scene is a fight sequence, where she was made to roll on the road for a while. She had bruises on her hands and legs, but being the thorough professional that she is, she didn’t take it seriously and continued the shoot.”

He adds, “There’s a comic fight sequence where a bear chases her as well. It has shaped come out really well.” Apparently, Trisha has been training under fight choreographer Supreme Sundar and has learnt safety measures while performing stunts.

The actress may lend her voice for a solo number in the film, which has music composed by Amrish. “I feel Trisha’s voice will suit the bold character she plays,” he concludes.
